2 October 2007 - As of today, Alphapharm has officially become part of Mylan, creating one of the largest, quality generics and specialty pharmaceuticals companies in the world.
The combination, which we initially announced in May, is now complete and the integration process is underway and running smoothly.
We are extremely excited to be part of Mylan, a company that has been fully focused on quality generic and specialty pharmaceuticals for over 45 years.
We now employ almost 11,000 people in more than 90 countries and our broad product offering includes more than 570 products.
Despite being part of a combined company that will operate on a truly global scale, our commitment to our local markets, employees and customers remains the same and will continue to be an important part of our business model and vision.
On a day-to-day basis, there will be little difference in how Alphapharm operates.
The 28th of January 2007 marked the start of our Silver Anniversary year. Since 1982, Alphapharm has pioneered quality generic medicines in Australia.
